Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.
We accept credit card payment. Email or call if you would like to pay by cheque or bank transfer. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, mail or over the Internet.
When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you within 7 business days. International orders are generally received in under 9 days. However, please allow up to 24 days for delivery as our products are hand made to order for you. Sometimes we may be able to despatch items within 24 hrs of receipt of order if items are in stock but this is not always possible. If your order is urgent – for a birthday or specific date, please email sales@originalbooks.net or call 0044 1285 641 664 and we will let you know if we are able to meet your requirements.

Shipping And Handling

We use a courier delivery service – usually UPS or Interlink. Both services require goods to be signed for. Please leave a telephone number and bear this in mind when giving us a delivery address or advise us if you need a phone call or email to arrange a convenient delivery day / destination to accommodate this security requirement. Small orders less than 2kgs may be sent by First class post. Our charges reflect the price we have to pay for items to be sent to you either within the UK or overseas as requested.

Delivery Charges

Within the UK we charge £4.95 for each delivery. The delivery charge remains at a total of £4.95 regardless of the number of items purchased.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added

The Original Book Works Ltd does not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfillment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
